PCOS/PMOS

Adult PMOS (Formerly PCOS – Polycystic Ovary Syndrome)

Have you ever felt like your body is working against you—no matter how hard you're trying?

Maybe you're eating healthy, exercising consistently, and doing everything you've been told to do, yet the scale won't budge. You're exhausted, constantly craving carbohydrates or sweets, struggling with stubborn belly weight, irregular periods, acne, unwanted hair growth, or wondering why getting pregnant hasn't happened despite trying.

If this sounds familiar, I want you to know—you are not failing, and you're certainly not alone.

PMOS (formerly known as PCOS) affects approximately 1 in 8 women worldwide, making it one of the most common hormonal and metabolic conditions in women. Yet despite how common it is, many women spend years feeling dismissed, misunderstood, or told to "just lose weight" without anyone explaining what's actually happening inside their bodies.

At Kendra's Kustom Nutrition, my goal is to change that.

During my three years working in a specialized Diabetes Center, I had the privilege of helping many women living with PMOS improve insulin resistance, support healthy weight management, prepare for pregnancy, improve energy, and better understand how nutrition can positively influence their hormones. I've seen firsthand how overwhelming PMOS can feel—but I've also seen how empowering it is when women finally understand what's happening inside their bodies.

One of the things my clients appreciate most is finally understanding why they feel the way they do. During our sessions, I'll explain the science behind PMOS in a way that actually makes sense—not with confusing medical terms, but in a way that helps everything finally click.

Together, we'll talk about:

  • How insulin resistance can make weight loss feel much more difficult.
  • Why hormone imbalances can increase hunger, cravings, and fatigue.
  • How nutrition plays an important role in supporting fertility and preparing your body for pregnancy.
  • Why protecting and building muscle supports a healthier metabolism.
  • How balanced meals can improve blood sugar, energy, and hormone health.
  • Why stress, sleep, and lifestyle habits all influence PMOS symptoms.

To better understand your body, I also include body composition and metabolic analysis as part of your appointments. Looking beyond the scale allows us to evaluate:

  • Muscle mass and body fat percentage
  • Visceral fat and hydration
  • Resting metabolic rate (metabolism)
  • Progress beyond pounds lost

I'm also a strong believer in using laboratory data to guide nutrition care. If you've already had recent lab work completed, I'll help you understand what those numbers actually mean and how they relate to your symptoms. When appropriate, I'll collaborate with your primary care provider, OB-GYN, fertility specialist, or endocrinologist so your healthcare team is working together toward the same goals.

When you understand why your body is responding the way it is, food becomes a lot less confusing—and change becomes much more achievable.

Whether your goal is managing your weight, improving energy, regulating blood sugars, supporting fertility, preparing for pregnancy, or simply feeling like yourself again, I'm here to help you create a personalized plan that works with your body—not against it.

You deserve more than being told to "just lose weight." You deserve someone who listens, explains the why, and helps you build lasting habits that support your health for years to come.
