Child & Teen Nutrition
Your child or teen’s first session focuses on understanding the whole picture—medical and nutrition history, growth, eating patterns and food preferences, lifestyle, activity, school and social environment, family history, and any factors affecting their relationship with food. Parents and caregivers are included while giving children and teens an age-appropriate voice in their care. Together, we’ll focus on up to three achievable SMART goals at a time rather than overwhelming your family with too many changes at once.
Families typically begin with visits every 1–2 weeks while we establish routines and build confidence, then transition to monthly or as-needed visits as progress is made. Recommendations are individualized and may include balanced meals and snacks, supporting growth, expanding food variety, sports nutrition, or other targeted nutrition strategies, with a direct text line for support between sessions when questions come up.
